The fourth highlight is a large gilt-bronze and cloisonné enamel double-gourd vase decorated in the millefleurs, or “myriad flowers,” manner.

Covering a gourd-shaped body of this size with unbroken floral wirework is technically demanding: each bloom needs its own cloison, and the enamel must stay even around the swelling lower bulb. A closely related vase, about 93.3 cm high, is in the Shenyang Palace Museum. Large double-gourd cloisonné of this density is uncommon outside palace collections.
